pff, just went running again. reckon i did about .5k more than yesterday, and also only stopped to stretch less. had to push myself a bit harder, as my muscles felt it from yesterday's run and then the walk in the evening. at one point i felt a bit of a twinge and was afraid the old shins were starting again, but that seemed to go away. still, i'll ( Read more... )

Heat rash?! This time of year I'm more likely to makie my eczema worse with hot-cold situations!

hm, but you warm up gradually and then of course have to make sure that you warm down gradually... but i'm not sure if that makes any difference for eczema. might it not be good for your skin though? i heard that sweat contains oils that help the skin, that's why they recommend not washing straight after exercise for your skin's sake at the least- i think it seems to help my skin when i exercise, but... again, i'm not sure if that'd be helpful for you, as i only have dry skin, not eczema :S

It's more the rubbing that does me for eczema, combined with the cold. Most people get cold and dry and go all cracked, but because mine's on my inner thigh, it doesn't dry out. It gets spotty, which is nowhere near as bad, and painful, but I'd hate to think what drying out would do to that area!
