(no subject)
So, I'm here in the Philippines and things are okay so far. It's the weekend, which is kind of weird since I don't really know anyone yet so I don't have a lot planned or anything. I kinda feel like I am back in my first month of college, in a whole new world with the prospects of meeting a ton of new people, but not knowing anyone or having any set friends yet. People at work are nice, but the Americans are all kind of older and I don't really see them becoming my going out friends.
In other news, I went to check out the past room that the intern before me rented here. Um, I think I'll pass. It wasn't horrible, but there was no air conditioning. I figured if the owner is from the US that AC would be a given, but I guess I was wrong. Oh well, hopefully H&R will have some good options for me next week. I'm slightly stressing, it will definitely be a relief once it's figured all out.
I've taken up eating mangoes, not because I particularly like them or anything just because it seems like the right thing to do here. I'm happy because I finally found a vegetarian restaurant here, and it's pretty good. I've been eating so unhealthy lately- too much pizza and grilled cheese.
