the shape of things to come

i was out getting coffee early this morning when i looked up, at the sky, and just as my eyes locked on the sun, this little thought bit into my head--took a huge chunk, is more like it--and for a moment i realized... this is gonna be the same sun i'll be looking at a few months from now.

and i have no idea where i'll be looking at that sun from.

and it's a good feeling. scary. but good.
