Today I am so overjoyed that Obama has won the US election that I am returning this blog from hiatus just to say "Hurray!"

Me too - I am so pleased I am finding it very hard to concentrate on my 200 page long contract I am reviewing!

I know how you feel. I want to run outside and join a massive block party. LJ is the closest thing to it.

My lucky little sister is in the states right now, having flown in last night, she might actually get to join the real party.

They did it! Hurrah for President-elect, Barack Obama!

That is very much how I feel, I am also working from home today so I can't even enthuse at the poor people at work.

Which reminds me I haven't spoken to you in ages. I will try and call in the next couple of days. Work has been busy but that is a poor excuse.

I am quite jealous of your sister though and of almostalady's sister who is also in the US at the moment.

All my blogging tends to go into my knitting blog these days which you are welcome to go and look at but it is pretty much about the knitting and occasionally some cooking...

Seriously - I have even written essays about the micro economics of knitting culture so it really is hardcore knitting

Well work is crazy busy at the moment (which I am grateful for in a way - no need to justify my existence to the company) but otherwise things are pretty good.

Happy birthday to you - I saw your present from Charlie and it was gorgeous. Great to see she is still making cool jewelry. Oh good news about your other visitor as well (wink).
