A pleasant surprise and a dilemma...

So, I was fidgeting around at my desk this morning as I sometimes do and (as I sometimes do - please don't ask any more) I decided I would try putting my earring through my old nose stud hole. well if its still open now surely you can wear one when you are not working and take it out when you are?
would a tiny silver stud be frowned upon? would you be ok in the offices but not when you see clients?
Its not likely that it will close up as its not closed up before so I would wear it when you are not working.
If you do social things with work collegues why not put it in then and see how people react?

The thing is my pa has a nose stud and I am only concerned that it might be ok for here and not for me if you get my meaning.

yes - I suppose the logic would go well like so...she is a pa it is her job to do administrative stuff. frax is the lawyer, she must look serious, inspire confidence and be able to negotiate like a badger with an iron bar."

So the trick is do I look like I could negotiate like a badge with a crowbar with a stud in my nose?

Yes ;o) there are some quite kinky ones out there.
How about one of those old fashioned nail ones. or a black rose or something scary and gothic that says don't mess with me!

Because anything other than a small plain stud makes me look silly and there is a vanity issue here ;)

fair enough - I don't think it would affect anyones opinion of you or how you do your job.
It's just another part of you that they have probably sensed anyway.

Well, since (I assume) you normally look like you can negotiate like a badger with a crowbar, surely with a stud in your nose you'll look like you can negotiate like a badger with a crowbar and a stud in its nose. Which is pretty darn negotiatey, I'd say.
