There is something that I am working on, and as I was in the process of working on it, I thought.. what greater resource do I have than the fabulous user community here at LJ.
I'm looking for romantic pairings within literature or movies that have impacted and stuck with people. A few that came to my mind:
Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy (Pride & Prejudice)
Princess Leia and Han Solo (Star Wars)
Claire Randall and Jamie Fraiser (Outlander)
Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley (Harry Potter)
Terry McKay and Nickie Ferrante (An Affair to Remember)
Annie Reed and Sam Baldwin (Sleepless in Seattle)
Danielle De Barbarac and Henry, Prince of France (Ever After)
Laurana Kanan and Tanis Half-Elven (Dragonlance)
Sarah Connor and Kyle Reese (Terminator)
This is only an incomplete list, off the top of my head very late at night as I'm getting ready for work the next day, but I know there is more out there. I'm looking for any age, so any bit of writing or cinema, from any genre. These are the things that made you sigh a little (or a lot) while you saw or read them. The kind of thing you read or watch over and over because of the warm feelings you get from it. The stuff that makes you say "They were truly meant for each other."
