had a good weekend.
Went out to eat with Kat and Natalie on friday for dinner. also left work early. my ibs started kicking in. i also finished my old apartment (still gotta get my truck). stopped in at the tower to see how things are going. they seem marginally better, which is good. granted still not good enough for andrew to hire jacob back. talking about getting a haloclix league up and running, which i'd be joining. fun game, really crazy stuff and simple/straightforward on alot of it.
late friday night i was unpacking stuff and cleaning. i mean until 2am. got a lot accomplished.
saturday went to ikea. i was underwhelmed. they do have some cool stuff there, but it wasnt what it had been built up to be to me. the coffee table i was going to get was too wide, the smaller one was the right width but too short. i did get an area rug for 30 bucks. looks good in the living room (6'x 4' rug) in front of the couch.
also saturday i went to the tower to play some haloclix. we really started getting into the rules and learning the finer points of it. with upgrading and weapon swapping (and i think respawning too) i can use any haloclix that i own of the same value. that's just a little crazy. it was a close match which ended up with a masterchief with a rocket launcher vs my cloaked arbiter with a carbine. but the arbiter and my remaining spartan (for i didnt respawn my other units) killed one of his other spartans for the win before MC could mop up.
saturday night was spent chilaxing.
sunday i went to the grocery store. cooked a big pot of crab and shrimp alfredo, invited the ladies over for dinner. we ended up watching boondock saints after the food. i crashed early at around 10:30.
today hasnt been bad, not good, but not bad either. had to do a lot of safety training and paperwork for the new folks. we're getting a whole new department. its really a massive upgrade to our graphics department since we're getting new large format printers and things to start doing our own printing. still have to go to another company for our fabric graphics, but that's ok.
i'm just ready for the day to be over. gonna go christmas shopping sometime this week, and pam said last week that she'll likely be wanting 11 hour days or a saturday work this week from us. i hate that shit.
