It is what I said it was! Wait, maybe I can find a picture... nope. Well, there will be photos up on facebook. :p

Someday! I am also waiting on presents from my little brother, if it's any consolation?

Also holy shit rear-ending. Good thing you are okay! I imagine L will be in for a pretty big fine for the license-expiry thing, though?

PS: Boo facebook.

Yeah, it was pretty scary at the time. I admit to still being a little leery when riding with other people- my foot keeps pressing down on imaginary brakes. ^^;

Well, at first she was worried about being arrested/deported, but I think she might have gotten off with a warning? And the insurance wasn't going to pay, but it seems like our supervisors have been talking to them a lot and have maybe convinced them to chip in, which is really good news.

PS: Yeah, I said that just to bug you. When I get home I can e-mail you a photo. ^^

Yeah, from what I've heard of the Japanese police vis-a-vis foreigners, that would be my huge fear too. But it seems lucky all around! Was there a lot of damage?

Yay!

Yeah, so as the afternoon progressed, she seemed to take heart from statements such as, "Well, I'm not getting deported! Or arrested!" It still kind of sucked, but nowhere near as bad as it could have.

There was quite a bit of damage to L's car, but not thaaat much to the other guy's (which is part of why we were so shocked when the ambulance showed up- we were both fine, so what was up with him? I think it was probably typical Japanese hypochondria, though, since he was basically fine).
