So, it's been a while. ^^
The sumo was just as good, if not better, the second time. Probably because we weren't way up back in the cheap seats this time, and also my camera didn't get set to flash-forward recording. ^^;
The Canadians returned to their country lo these many days ago, leaving me to qq until my sister and cousin arrive on the 9th of June(:D). Meanwhile, I've been watching Starsky & Hutch.
In really excellent news, though, I've been going to a lot more classes recently! Last week I set a new record of 9 classes for the week, and this week I may have 10! This puts me at least on the bottom end of what a normal JET would be doing, so I feel much more useful. :D
This past weekend, I went up to Mt. Akagi with friend L on Saturday. (Those of you with some knowledge of Initial D may be interested to note that it's actually set in my prefecture, and that Tokyo Drift should really have been called Gunma Drift, though obviously that's a tiny bit less catchy. ^^) The reason this comes up is that Mt. Akagi is one of the biggest courses for drift-racing around here. Just as L and I were commenting on how crazy they must be to race down the mountain when we were quite happy to go up at the speed limit, we hit this stretch of road that was just trashed. The entire thing was covered in tire marks, and a bunch of the the little reflectors on the double-yellow (which here were made of metal an inch or two high) were not just dented, but entirely missing. RIDICULOUS. And then Sunday I met up with friend J and we ended up going to some art galleries in Takasaki because of the rain, be end. XD
