Sorry for the LJ logorrhea today. It's the first day I've felt free to notice and record the world, rather than work my way through a mountain of work, for several months. I'm sure it won't last.

On the crowded subway I experienced classic Boston politeness.
Large man standing next to me: "Ma'am, would you like to sit down?"
Me: "No, thanks, getting off in one stop."
Man: "'Cause I can make someone get up."

Another amazing thing about today, which perhaps only candle_light may appreciate: At the Cambridge Formaggio, I was greeted by none other than the demigod of cheese himself, Ihsan Gurdal, who kindly discussed and handpicked three cheeses for me, including a stinky pasteurized one I'm allowed to have! And I really only went there to drool, not buy. Thanksgiving apps will be especially aromatic this year. I still have stars in my eyes (and cheese mold in my pocket).

Back to work.
