It's better to burn out than to fade away...
So I kind of forget to post on this thing. I try to make myself busy with school and having fun these days. School is going great. This semester is going so fast! I can't wait until it ends. I'm getting tired of working with old people in a semi nursing home setting. Some of the old people are cool, it just gets boring doing that same noninvasive stuff. I am seeing quite a bit of cool stuff though. I saw this lady with woundvacs on her legs to suck the moisture out. Three weeks ago I had a patient that found out I played percussion and loved jazz so she made me wheel her out into the hall where the piano was and she was teaching me jazz piano. It was awesome! This past week we had a patient with MRSA, some scary shit!
It is hard to beleive that in three semesters I will be done with school and going to take my boards. It is so surreal. I can't beleive its almost over!
So in a few days Chris and I will be together a year. It has gone by so fast. I've learned a lot about myself, life, and relationships with him. For New Year's Eve we're planning on going to Atlantic City, New Jersey to see the B-52's! It should be an awesome show! I can't wait!
Election day is over, thank god! I was getting tired of all of the same commercials. I went to the polls then went to get my haircut, which looks awesome by the way. I ended up getting my signature faux hawk. After class I went up to Indy to see Kevin. It was fun. We hung out then walked around Mass Ave for a bit. Had Starbuck's and now I'm all hyper. I saw some of his friend's art and it made me want to do more. I should find time to read and do more art, but I like being lazy too much.
