Well, I just had a new experience. I was teaching an EndNote class, when another librarian stepped into the class room and let us all know that the building was being evacuated.
There was a fire in the next building and it was a safety precaution. So we all left the room. I proceeded to stand in the light rain with a number of folks from the class and answer questions they had regarding EndNote. Really sort of fun, and I learned that of the 6 who showed up, 4 had a strong interest and some specific questions to get answered. It worked ok, but was a bit odd.
We did finally get back into the undergraduate library, so I was able to turn off projectors, collect extra handouts, etc. The building the fire is/was in is scheduled to be closed until at least 7 pm.
