So I've never really been a fan of Emma Watson, but
this interview with her may have changed my opinion. She comes across as very classy and intelligent. It's nice to know that I'm not the only seventeen year old girl who pays attention to politics.
I also think it's funny how the person interviewing her clearly thought she wouldn't be as informed as she was. Like here:
Critics has always considered politics as an important subject of the Harry Potter saga. Libération, a French newspaper- “I know what Libération is.” Sorry. Atta girl, Emma. Teenage girls read papers too! Just in case you weren't aware of that, and got your opinion of adolescent females from reading Seventeen Magazine.
Er, in other news, I reinstalled The Sims 2 on my computer, and it has eaten my life. I completely emptied Veronaville and am in the process of populating it with Harry Potter characters from the MWPP/L generation, including Shoebox Project characters such as the Prewett brothers and Caradoc Dearborn. I'm starting with the Marauders as teenagers; and yes, before you ask, I will be attempting to get Remus and Sirius together. What kind of fangirl do you think I am?
Speaking of Harry Potter...I am kind of getting re-addicted to fanfic? I was in need of some Remus/Sirius pr0n last night, and I went looking for an author over on Skyhawke who I knew wrote good smut. Instead, I stumbled across a promising Harry/Draco fic, which I've been reading avidly. (It's pretty good, though a bit too hurt/comfort-y for my tastes.) Um. This does not bode well.
Particularly because I have the insane urge to write a Harry Potter/Death Note crossover. Lolz, how would that even work? I think this is because I have been listening to the Death Note soundtrack nonstop the past couple of days. And also because a Tom Riddle/Raito showdown would be made of awesome.
