170708 SOMETHING LIKE THAT, BUT NOT REALLY

Well, after some hours dwelling in Persona 4, I can say I enjoy this game and the lmao-larious script. So here some of my first impressions, not spoiler-ly so you can safely read this while waiting December to come ;D

I love the fact the battle is slightly more difficult from Persona 3 (although not as difficult and frustrating like P2). Getting money is not as easy now, but that's not really a problem (sorry Chie, no new shoes for you =A=). The thing that annoys me is the roulette system to get new Personas.

Surprise, surprise! She IS my favorite character *wub*
I had several good laughs from Yousuke's perverted-ness (and his homophobia , I totally knocked out in laughter over his "This is dangerous! Very dangerous in any level possible!!"-line when the party needs to face Kanji's FABULOUSLY GAY shadow), Yukiko's dorky lines and Kanji's antic. All the main characters are lovable, and by lovable, I even can't choose which one to dislike! Even I LIKE the with-no-personality main character (he's so cool when he screams 'IZANAGI!' or 'PERSONA!').

The atmosphere from this game is waaay more natural than Persona 3. "We are 'normal' students, we don't have secrets inside our dorm with super computers, we don't have a flashy tower that magically appear in the middle of the midnight all we have is a food-court in a department store to talk about srs business and start our action by butting our ass inside an over-priced plasma television after school is over"- kind of feeling. Though I can't say much about the story because that will be a spoiler ;D.

The design is great too! When I say 'design', I really do mean the overall point of the game; The menu interface is gorgeous (so yellow and retro-ish), the box package is attractive, pretty animation, and if you like P3's environment, then you will get used to P4's landscape in no time! Supported by Shoji Meguro's funky tracks, this game provide all the fun you can ask for!

I really hope the translated version won't face any unnecessary censorship since I feel some of the in-game themes are kind of sensitive, and of course, a great English voice over! I DEMAND THE BEST KIND OF VOICE FOR MY YUKIKO! >3

And by the way, I ship Kuma/Kanji now 8DDDDD, because Kuma always shouts 'Kanji you're so (kakkoi) coool!! <3' lmao. Yamaguchi Kappei did a good job in voicing Kuma, I even didn't realize that Kuma's voice is his! Morikubou Shotaro makes an awesome playful Yousuke too &hearts! (it's been a while since I listen to his voice =w=). There's no question in the female casts, everyone suits their character respectively.

O SHI- I RAMBLED TOO MUCH.

fangirling, gaming
