Yarn: Rowan Cocoon (100.8 yards/92.2 m per skein) I used approximately 1.2 skeins.
Needles: 6.5mm dpns
Gauge: 5 sts per inch in 1x1 rib
Trinity stitch pattern:
Row 1: (RS) *k1 p1 k1 into same st, p3tog*, rep from * to *
Row 2: (WS) knit
Row 3: *p3tog, k1 p1 k1 into same st*, rep from * to *
Row 4: knit
Note: The mitts are worked inside out, with the trinity stitch pattern on the inside.
CO 33 (37) stitches
Join by knitting first and last stitches together, PM
Work in K1 P1 rib for 10 rounds
Work 4 full repeats of trinity stitch pattern
At the beginning of next round create a 4-stitch buttonhole
Continue in trinity stitch until piece measures 7 inches from CO edge, ending with a RS row
Bind off and weave in ends
