I am offically excited for April 8th. Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin's new album and Colin Meloy Sings Live! are released on the same day. Okay, I already had all the tracks from Colin's live record for ages, but it's still gonna be lovely to have them in CD quality instead of a bootleg and I can't wait to see the artwork, Carson Ellis can do no wrong, especially if one of the songs is about her and Colin's son. Oh, and an actual version of Dracula's Daughter (the self-proclaimed worst song he ever wrote) is gonna be ace, too.
I'm a bit confused why he didn't tell me that he's doing a solo tour again, though. If he already tells me all the insider news on what the band is going to be doing (and asking me not to spread it around, hehe), then why not tell me that? Ah well, maybe it wasn't confirmed the last time we spoke. Those Americans are so lucky, his solo shows are gold.
For all of the Decemberists fans on my flist, here's a little rarity for ya. I got it from a very nice lady off the D's message board and it's a spectacular seven-minute-long acoustic version of The Perfect Crime #2.

Last thing for today: I saw The Darjeeling Limited last Sunday and enjoyed it thoroughly. Definitely a recommendation, it's a typical Wes Anderson film (he also wrote and directed The Royal Tennenbaums and The Life Aquatic, both of which I love as well), a mixture of awkward humour, cleverness and dramatic moments. And Natalie Portman's naked in it. It also renewed my crush on Adrien Brody. He's such a babe.
