Alex, NYC, and Eleanor

There's a conversation on s_t about Alex buying a house in NYC. Lots of debate is going on over whether this means he's moving from Glasgow, whether this means he's moving in with Eleanor, whether this means that him and Eleanor are going to have a baby/get married, etc

Why hate Eleanor? Would you want people wishing pain and loneliness on you? And just because you've met someone who makes you happy and you make him happy?

I don't hate Eleanor. I hope that someday I find someone to share my life with and I know that putting all that hate out into the world when other people do just makes it less likely I ever will.

Me being sad that his music will eventually change is just that -- sadness that things change. But the world is not static.

Now I'm really stunned, because when I wrote that entry on my journal I hadn't seen this entry on your journal, it makes it all the more amazing that we expressed practically identical thoughts, hee!
