Is there really no one else with questions for February? Come on, girls, I'm bored! :) (alas, too bored to do anything useful like writing or tagging...)
So far, I have three questions from
splix for Feb 1-3; so all other days are still free *G*.
The first topic is:
Soundtrack of My Adolescence
There are several ways to interpret this, but I'll just give you a list of some youtube videos (with some commentary) of some of the music I liked to listen to back then, say age 12-18. No matter how embarrassing; though the more embarrassing stuff like David Hasselhoff happened earlier than that. There is no particular order to this...
I put the clips behind the cut so I don't clog up your friends list. With most musicians, I tried to find the first song of them that I heard - as far as I remember, that is.
1.) NKOTB, of course. We were so much into them, we acted "concerts" with my friends, my sister and I being the band, of course. We all liked a different boy. Though no one liked Danny. Poor Danny.

2.) Take That - my mum still loves to tease how when they first showed up I was all like "They're trying to be NKOTB! They'll never be as good as them! Arseholes!"

3.) Dirty Dancing. This went so far that we actually acted out the whole movie on the playground at school.

4.) Grease

5.) Bon Jovi

6.) PJ & Duncan

7.) Bruce Willis. This is the first song of his that I caught on MTV (yes, MTV).

8.) Hahaha, okay, this is embarrassing: The WWF stars once produced an album. Ahem. And since Bret "Hitman" Hart was once of my favourites, you'll get his song.

9.) Oasis

10.) Travis

11.) EAV - Die Erst Allgemeine Verunsicherung.

12.) Santana. Originally, because Jim Ellison in "The Sentinel" liked him. But you have to admit, he does play some awesome guitar.

Thanks,
splix, for this trip down the memory lane! That was fun *G*.
