Make-up recommendations.

Second night... DONE! And it was good!

And as I sit here, after removing my bellydancing make up, let me share my secrets for serious stage make-up:

NO CHEAP STUFF. You want something that is highly pigmented. My two go-to companies are M.A.C. and Urban Decay!

Eyeshadow Primer. No matter how good your eyeshadow is, eyeshadow primer will do three things:
a) make your highly pigmented eyeshadow shine even brighter, the colours even more vivid.
b) takes care of that annoying "eyeshadow settles in the crease" thing. With a primer? THIS IS NOT HAPPENING, GUYS.
c) makes even the longest lasting eyeshadow even longer lasting. After a night with four performances and LOTS of sweating, my eyeshadow make-up's still as perfect as when I put it on!

Brushes. You need at LEAST three of them. And I mean serious brushes, not those stupid eyeshadow appliance thingies. One for the eyeshadow itself, sort-of flat-ish, but not too flat. One round one for blending. You want to blend your colours well! And one to get that perfect eyeliner - they're flat and have a diagonal edge.

Speaking of eyeliners: Do NOT try to draw the whole line in one go. It will NOT work, unless you're a pro and do this every day. Instead, make these tiny lines, one after each other - think of drawing! - with the eyeliner. Then take the eyeliner brush and eyeshadow in the matching colour. Take a leeeeeeetle bit of eyeshadow up on the brush and very carefully follow the line. Smudge it a bit with your fingers. Done.

Oh, and no matter what: use mascara! Also get a good one that really defines your lashes, not just lumps them all together, causing "spider legs". You don't want that.
