Tech support...
Something just a little bit amusing...
My internet wasn't connecting tonight for some reason. I tried restarting everything but nothing was working. I resorted to calling optus to see if they could help... Optus tech support are not trained in anything but windows... I pretty much rang up for no reason because the guy had no idea how to use linux and had never even heard of the operating system I use... The problem was not with optus. In the end I asked him if there was anything I could do, because I was sure it wasn't a software thing because everything was sweet the night before. He told me to disconnect the cable from the modem and the laptop and then turn off the laptop and plug it all back in. It worked...
random... what good is tech support when they can't help you with an operating system they are not familiar with!!!!
