After yesterday's bout of personal frustration, I was reminded that I am still ridiculously lucky and overall in a very good place. A good talk with Amy helped that a great deal as did a terrible event that kept me awake from 1:00 AM to 5:00 AM. As I laid down for a much needed trip to Sleepytown, I heard the home next door twisting into nothing more than a residence. It is strange to hear the rules of lovers slowly bent into hooks and weapons and hurtful shameless names bandied about so freely you'd think they were as vital as water. For her sake, I hope his bellows were laced with lies as he finally drove off in his car. For his sake I hope he didn't drive straight to the Ambassador Bridge, which is where my imagination followed him, and attempt to keep his cool with the border guard. Regardless, with a measure of guilt, I took solace in their heated moments because, simply, it was not me.
