I've got a bass guitar. I got it for christmas. I have no idea what I'm doing with it. And thus far I've made no real attempt to learn how to play it. I'm hoping to get Simon to teach me but....I dunno, sometimes its hard to learn from lovers. I might be sitting there trying to take instruction, our hands might accidentally touch, our eyes meet.....I might say something like "I think Im out of tune" and He might say "let me tweak that a little" then of course a wild moment of passion....and then the porno music. ha! Okay that wouldnt really happen. What would happen is this:
"no, Fran, I told you this yesterday"
*simon moves fran's fingers to correct position*
*fran makes horrible sound not unlike a dying cow in a hail storm*
"But Simon, I want to sqeeeeeeeeeal"
*fran makes gurning face*
"You cant run before you can walk Fran"
"I can do whatever I please, Im gonna stick it to the man"
"Okaaaaaaaaaaay, fine lesson over."
"Fine, Im a fret master anyway"
*Fran makes discordant fret tapping noises and grimaces*
"GRIM"
So yeah I suppose I havent made a real effort because I dont like to try things I feel like Im going to fail at. But I will, you'll see, you doubters, I'll prove you wrong. Oh yeah, my new philosophy on like "Never Try" taken from the down song of the same name because the lyrics really speak to me. Im planning on getting a tattoo that just says "Never Try" And I dont think you should try, I think you should do.
