Hi.
So, Tohoshinki recently was on SMAPXSMAP or whatevertheshowiscalledwithSMAP. And they were set to perform Purple Line and Doushite
These are two of my favorite Tohoshinki songs. Purple Line mainly because I saw it at the KMF and Micky declares his need to touch himself, which automatically makes a song 50 times better (I really want to touch you too, Micky. I really do.)
Doushite because it's a beautiful song and I can totally sing the whole Doushite Kimi wo Suki ni Natte Shimattan Darou line and maybe will one day be able to progress pass that ONE LINE (fingers crossed).
So I was aware before I watched the performances that SMAP were going to perform with them. I didn't know what to expect honestly. I don't really listen to SMAP. At all. The only SMAP related thing I have is Shingo Mama. So all I really was expecting was to LOL at Shingo. If his name is actually that.
I actually kind of expected them to perform a SMAP song or a new song or something together and then a seperate performance. But they didn't, SMAP and TSHK performed together.
The only good thing about the performances was the backdrop. Seriously. I. HATED. IT. SO. SO. VERY. MUCH. I don't know exactly what makes me hate it BUT I HATED IT AND JUST UG.
They seemingly dumbed down the choreography for Purple Line which I was sort of kind of OK with, it was something different, but I HATED DOUSHITE SO MUCH, which I think was my major disappointment because I seriously love Doushite. SMAP's voices just sort of rubbed me the wrong way, especially when singing along with Jaejoong. And the one singing with ah... Changmin I think it was, was off or forgot the lyrics or whatever and I know that happens a lot but I STILL WAS LIKE "HOMGDIE" D:
Now I know Tohoshinki sometimes has issues performing that song but I felt it was like, worse? when they were put along side voices that were totally NOT made for that song D: I can't even bring myself to go back and find good examples that would help illustrate why I hated it so much. Everyone's problem with it was the hand movements. Seriously? :\
And now I officially do not like SMAP :x BECAUSE I MAKE JUDGEMENTS BASED ON ONE SINGLE THING, OBVIOUSLY.
I remember reading a bunch of people write about how they want Tohoshinki to appear on a lot of Johnny's shows now. They finally got on Music Station or whatever that show was that they were kept off of 'because of Johnny'. A lot of people mentioned having Aiba and Junsu say stupid English things together. I think I would approve of this. Or Micky, because we all know his grasp on English declines at a steady pace every day. <3
