Sometimes, I wonder if I would be vastly happier if I got rid of all the noise. Would I really miss that guilty pleasure tv show if I chose to stop recording it on the dvr? What if I just stopped watching tv? What would happen if I never opened up my laptop when I was at home, choosing to only work on it when I'm at school or actually working on something? How much would I miss it? Would I miss it at all? What would happen if I did it for a week? During exams? During bar-bri? Would I be more engaged in life, instead of just watching it pass by? How much time would I carve for myself? Do I have the motivation to do it?
Hmmn. Interesting things to ponder. I've decided to experiment this week. I'll call it "Electronic Noise Detox". I'm going to do two things.... I'm going to drastically limit my time spent in front of a television, and in front of my laptop for entertainment purposes. I don't know if I'm motivated enough to just cut everything off cold turkey... so I'm going to drastically limit the tv to 3 hours total for the week. How will this affect my time? I'll let ya know as the week progresses. I'll start this tomorrow morning, and update on how it works out.
