Poor Stitch.....
Around six or so, Stitch started vomiting. At first it was food, so we just kept an eye on him. He seemed fine otherwise. Then he started vomiting water and bile late last night. At six this morning, he woke us up retching. I called the emergency clinic and they told me they were closing for the day and to take him to my regular vet, Dr. Cline immediately. So, we took a very sad, lethargic and sick cat to the vet this morning. Dr. Cline gave him some antibiotics and took bloodwork. We had to either hospitalize him, or we had to stay home with him and keep a close eye on things. Stitch was terrified and nervous at the vet's, and I couldn't stand the thought of him being locked in a little cage, surrounded by nothing he knows. So, I volunteered to keep watch over him today. If things don't get better by four, we'll have to go from there. So, I'm locked in my bedroom ( I have orders to isolate him from my healthy, pissed off, annoyed with the lack of attention today cat) with a sick cat, just making sure things are okay. I don't know what I'm going to do if Stitch doesn't get better.... he and Simba are the heart of this house.
