I don't understand why society has such a huge problem with breast feeding in public. It isn't a matter of public decency... the act itself tends to be very modest. There is such a stigma that comes with nursing, and I'm not exactly sure where it comes from. What makes us so sqeamish about a woman's body, and breast feeding in general? Even the resurgance of moms who are nursing... that hasn't quelled the stigma that goes along with it, especially in public. Is it just that as a society, we're uncomfortable with the female form if it isn't expressing sexuality? (In some cases, there is uncomfort with sexuality as well...) Hmmm.
