Words, etc
Words are art. I'm not talking about the meaning behind the words, although that can be art. I mean the pictures we draw that make up the words, the font. The way a word or a letter is represented visually can have as much impact on its meaning as the words themselves.
I think that's fascinating, although typography geeks can take it to extremes.
I'm reading Diary, by Chuck Pala-Fight Club, and it's a very weird book. I think he wrote it because someone told him how hard it is to write in the second person. I'm reading it because I stumbled across a quote from it that may be my next tattoo, and I wanted the context. The quote is: "We have no scar to show for happiness."
