friendship
well here is an uncommon thing to be done. me putting up a post. i dont think i ahve posted anything since march and here it is may.
anyway. i know i only have phil and mel as friends on my list of ppl that read this. but if the two of you can pass on the follwoing msg and see if you cannot find me an answer that would be muchly appreciated.
my question is this.
True Friends. what is a true friend and how do you know if a friend is a true friend. what makes a person your true friend how will you know who reall yare your friends.
i have thought about this and i cannot come up with antyhing better then this...
a true friend is someone who will be there for you when you really need someone. i have recieved chain mail from ppl that states this for a true friend. so what i can muster is this. the only way to tell if someone truly your friend you must have something really bad happen to you or something put your friendship on the rocks. then if the person does not turn tail and run but instead stay with you through the ordeal then you know you have a true friend. but in doing this you are putting yourself on a limb with no saftey net to catch you if you fall. you are relying on that hand to be there for you to grab and hold on to you. if that hand is not there to grab onto when you need it you are in for what will seem a very long fall but infact becomes a very short and painful fall and landing. this in turn shows that you do not have a true friend or likly not a friend at all anymore but also now you have to work on the recovery from your fall. this is so much to risk for such an answer. but i donot know anyother way as to figure who your true friends are and who are only the friendship leechers. if anyone out there can come up with another potentialy less painfull way to figure this out please do let me know. as i am curious.
