waddayaknow I I talk about music!
Today was fun, Jessie and I met at church, and Christie showed up too, albeit 20 minutes late. Jessie wanted to say by to the priests, cause shes been a good girl and come every week she could, and one of them said just a sec, and handed her an envelope, so she said thanks so much and we left. Then I got some Cocoa and she opened it, and inside was 10,000 Yen!!! Yeah, she was really surprised, I should satrt goin to church more often!! Though in my defense I have to pay 5 bux round trip to go, while her host dad drives her, no that Im at all jelous!
Then we decided to go to Aeon cause we had our 2000 yen gift certificates from Sharon to buy CDs with. After 40 minutes I was torn between TOKIO's new CD and an older orange range CD (I have a copy of their new one, and I must say, it is AWESOME!!)but opted for TOKIO, though wow, 3300 yen, if they didnt throw in the extra CD with an alternative version of 2 songs itd probably be a lot cheaper! Ill get on that later. So Jessie almost accadentaly stole somthing and then we decided to ride the bus back to the city. So we ate at McDonalds and got the Heavenly Mega Mac before I got an e-mail from donnie and Yoshiya saying they were waiting at Karaoke for Jessies "surprise" party.I use quotes because SOME Austrian student who will remain nameless has a big mouth and is an idiot! But everyone decided we'd still act like it was a surprise anyway.
So we said Christie left her coat at Karaoke yesterday in room 204, so we had to go there, and then..."Surprise!!"Thus began our final karaoke ;_:THough it was 3 hours, so still quite fun. Ive decided one of the best feelings in the world is being with your friends and everyone singing all choir-like together on some song. i dunno, it just makes me feel all mushy inside:) And it its to "Precious" than all the better XD!!Oh and my gift to Jessie was this necklace with a heart and key strung on it, cause I think we are unofficaily dating?! haha!! we DO say the other one is our boy/girlfriend and flirt all the time, not to ention weve gotten REALLY close these past 2 months. Oh well, either or, I dont care, Im gonna miss her ;( So we did the obligatory Purikura afterwards then all went home, which was fine by me, cause it was fuh-reezing, -10!!!
Oh, back to TOKIO. So when I got home and turned on the TV guess who was on? Thats right 2 guys from TKOIO, and guess where they were? Asahikawa!! Yeah, NOBODY comes to Asahikawa, cause its kinda small and boring, but they were here to be on a TV program where they ride in a car with a foreigner who drives. I guess I should be offended by the whole premise, they got 2 people from Africa who had never seen snow before and they had to drive 100 kilometers to an Onsen, you know what? I am offended so there! (The name of the show WAS 外国人ドライーバ）And they even went to this Onsen I go to alot!!Wouldnt that be crazy if you were at an onsen then all of a sudden a super famous person came in? I think so, but alas, we are going tommorow :( oh well...So I took it as a sign I made the right choice with my CD. And it IS good, it has their 5 latest singles, including Sorafune, of course. Something SMAP should take a note from, thats why I didnt by THEIR album, they can make great singles, but no good filler songs. Yeah, I like the poppiest of J-pop, so its really emabrassing, but I try to balacne out with more credible artists like ellegarden, Orange Range, B7z and Mr. Children.
So I got 2 more days o' school, then thursday I got to Tokyo to stay with a temp family. Friday us Asahikawaians are gonna try to go to Disney Sea, so that sounds awesome. Saturday I told Jessie Id try with all my might to go to the airport and see her off, cause I leave the next day. Though Narita is like an hour and a half from Downtown Tokyo, but it all depends on where my host family will be. Then the next day I myself will be off! I hope my temp family has a computer so I can charge my iPod, cause I have 2 flights, a 3.5 hour layover, and a 3-4 hour cardrive home, plus the commute to Narita! But I actually do plan on talking once I meet m family. Ok, so Ill probably update a couple more times before then.
