you can't imagine the shock i felt yesterday when i heard bush declare that famed south african former activist, former president and nobel peace prize winner nelson mandela was dead because saddam killed him. it's now being passed off as some sort of extended metaphor the president was trying to navigate through in his drug-addled haze of a press conference.
although, i support drug-addled hazes AND extended metaphors..
it was sort of like the time hugo chavez lamented that he was upset he couldn't meet noam chomsky because he was dead. noam chomsky still qualifies as alive, if the term is interpreted loosely.
