Ok I haven't done this in a bazillion million years...
I've decided to start my New Years Resolution early... just one this year... or maybe two... but this is the one I'm gonna start now... To LJ at least every other day... and I expect my friends... erm that is if I'm still on anyone's friends list after this long of an absence... to hold me to it. If I fail to LJ, then feel free to send me email pinches... or email dirty looks... or erm... stuff at zoe@franklyzoe.com. In my updates I'll get to the WHY behind the Resolution...
Ok... so here it goes... Updates since 4/1/05... damn I'm horrible at this...
April - Went to Tribeca Film Festival... Had a blast... made some ubercool contacts. Skipped two weeks of school :p.
May - Hmmm... notta lot happened, other than school.
June - Finished my first semester back to school and managed a 4.0 even with work and other stuff.
July - Ran the second annual Youth Summer Movie Project. Got LOTS of press... had 11 dedicated students who completed 2 short subject movies and a music video. Great kiddos. We shortened the program this year to 6 days because my dad had to have brain surgery the end of July. He's doing well and just got released to resume his normal activity. Started my second semester in school.
August - School. Purchased DVD-Zine ShortKutz (www.shortkutzdvd.com) with my business partner TL Carroll.
September - More school. Had the first Frankly Film Fest. It was a blast. Screened 26 entries (out of well over 100 recieved), had awards, had cake, had parties. We even managed to get the Rocky Horror Picture Show for the opening night of our festival. That was a feat in and of itself. Twentieth Century Fox is very picky about screenings of the RHPS. We celebrated 30 years of the Rocky with a live show and limited edition TShirts. I had a blast... and finally got to meet a few more of my online friends. :D There's piccies at my site of the festival. www.franklyzoe.com Still deciding on whether or not to have one next year...
October - Ok... this is the Resolution part. This is the month I decided that my marriage was irrepairably damaged and completely over. I've been struggling for the past 4 years trying to hold it together, and I simply can't do it any more. So barring a miracle, my marrige will end after I graduate in July. It's a good thing... I need a fresh start and I deserve to be happy. My husband is who he is and there is nothing I can do to change him. Of course when I made up my mind, he started an all out 'love assault' to try and win me back... its just too little, too late. The end of October, I attended the New York City Horror Film Festival again. It was a blast... they really know how to put on a party. It was fun hanging out with the guys, and gal, who run it... they never fail to show me a great time. Finished my second semester in school... got another 4.0.
November - Had most of the month off from school. Did some writing, finishing up a second screenplay that I hope to get shot next year. Found out we were fully funded for LeSourdesville Lake, a horror film I've been in development on for the past year and a half. Began revamping the DVD-zine we purchased, deciding to make it a hard copy Zine with a DVD insert. Also working on some podcast content for the website. Returned to school the Monday before Thanksgiving, this is my third semester... one more to go... then graduation... and my move to NYC.
So now its December... and I'm working on myself. I'll be back on the market in about 9 months. Figure if a baby can be made in 9 months, I can remake myself... fix the not so attractive parts about me... physically, emotionally, mentally, spritually, and personality... so I can be the best Zoe I can be...
