Happy (belated) birthday, Franklin! Hope it was a good one.
All is well here - lots of getting ready for the baby (and getting Eamonn ready, hopefully)! Looks like it'll probably be Dec. 18th. This one is going by so fast . . . it's intense to realize so much more this time how profoundly having a child will change our lives.
How's the teaching going over there? What are the classes like? Seems like it would be exceptionally good experience for coming back into a position in the U.S., especially in ESL.
So while you're on your way to Japan, would you mind stopping by Okinawa to gather some oral histories on a karate kata that I've been researching? You know, just a quick stop?
Barb, Eamonn, and I got to visit Mark this weekend up in L'Anse, and he was reminiscing about you guys getting lost in the woods one time - or one of you guys was lost, at any rate . . . also, while in the Houghton Library (the Public Library, not the Library pub), I saw a picture of Sir Douglass Houghton himself, and was stunned to find that he looks eerily like Mac!
