Shaved

Somehow, I actually kind of believed that shaving would get me "on track."

It hasn't. Yesterday, I played spider solitaire in the morning while "watching" dad, and while I did bring in a desk and a trunk and clean up the yard of roofing waste, I'm still not doing much.

Another slow morning this morning. Came to the library so I could watch Media Meet, which I am considering an obligation (though which I also enjoy), but then started looking at game auctions. I need LESS fucking games. Not more.

I did stop by to get some jewelry my mom wanted me to get appraised, and that turned out to be kind of a lengthy visit, as the guy is a friend of mine that I've started playing games with somewhat recently.

Went to trivia last night, and that was alright, and Mike Waite was nice and subdued, so I actually listened to him more than talk to other folks, which is a nice change there.

Dad's really starting to get thin (except in his belly, which may be growing). I give him massages fairly often and there's just not alot of muscle left in his arms and shoulders and his legs are just soft.

I took him in to get his hearing aid fixed yesterday, and that went well, though he couldn't eat much at the New York Deli. He told two people we ran into that he wasn't going to be around long (the hearing aid lady and a lady from the deli)...which is what he used to want to avoid. I've "wanted" him to have some realization of what's going on, but really, I'm not sure what exactly the benefit in that is.

I'm in the library and the lake is shimmering beautifully.

Going to get something to eat, and then head home with the junk from the yard.

I picked up some trim for Jeff Morse's house yesterday and it needs a good cleaning as it's sat in a pile behind "the shed" for who knows how long, and I also need to get the chop saw and a hand drill so I can get some shelves made in my back shed...and then I'll have to make a door for it sooner or later...

Should start working on the grass as well, but that kind of requires me to install a hose, which really isn't that big of a project, but anything that disrupts water flow...well, if you fuck it up...then it's a huge job.

Anyway. It's a nice day and still plenty of it left.
