After Christmas

Dec 27, 2011 11:01

I'm not doing a really good job of keeping of with the journal.

I know I COULD just write and save my precious thoughts anyold time and then post them when I'm blessed with internet, but I haven't been doing so.

Nice Christmas, though I didn't wind up to going to church. Mostly I didn't feel up to going to church with my sis and her family, but I kind of wish I had. There's a new pastor in town who I've been in email contact with (when I dropped off some cds for the church sale when I got back). He's lively, I hear, and wrote a nice piece of doggerel for the newsletter "complaining" about the absence from Soumi on any maps.

Plus I like the songs, and the singing, and the old folks...I just was tired and putting on clothes and sitting next to my sis's kids seemed like to big of a chore.

Kids have been pretty good though. It was nice to see their excitement for Christmas and presents.

I've been wearing my main Christmas present for a couple of weeks already, a new winter jacket, that I had to order online due to few places carrying tall sizes (I coulda done another Columbia, but I was in the mood for a change). But I did get a mop, which is something I wanted and didn't expect, so I was happy.

Been sleeping well the past couple nights. Finally feeling settled in at my places, I guess. At my folks the cats would wake me up a few times a night, and in Mqt the neighbors dog had a few nights of excessive late night barking and I was sleeping on an auxiliary bed for quite awhile. Forgot how good just being rested felt, and considering I haven't been working, that shouldn't be.
