Hey Everybody,
I got some GREAT news today. I did my US taxes and get $2400 back! I am so excited. This is almost enough to pay off my last credit card! I still have student loans and such but am so excited about being almost credit card debt free! Woo hoo!
I am still loving my job but my coworkers are having a hard go of things. The management is really inconsistent about their treatment of employees. Basically, I get worshipped and almost promoted after only 2 months of being there and everyone else gets yelled at. It's a very awkward position to be in.
Indigo and I are doing well. We discovered a free ice skating rink right around the corner from our house and I went ice skating for the first time in my whole life! AND I didn't fall once! It was exhilirating. Indigo was really good because she was raised ice skating but I have to say that I did pretty well. I also talked to my dad about bringing the kids out next Christmas since my mom might be in the Philippines and they are entertaining the idea. It will be nice to have some folks see our little place even though I am very much looking forward to being back in the bay in March.
Now, I am working on Valentine's day....many goodies will be baked, many flowers and presents will be bought. Next month marks our 4.5 year anniversary. I am thrilled to be in such a good relationship. We had a very rocky go when we first moved here for things I can't talk about or else Indigo would kill me. Basically, I did some things that weren't okay - at all. But Indigo kept forgiving me and we moved forward and I learned my lessons and we are stronger than ever. I am so so grateful for her in my life.
We just had a big winter storm and I got sent home early on Friday. The streets are crazy around here. A couple of weekends ago there was a 92 pile car up on the freeway. 92 cars!
Lastly, are you ready for some FOOTBALL?!!! I can't wait for the superbowl!
