READING LIST 2011
i know i am way late with this but you'll have that. i think i originally intended to try to get to seven books last year with a couple extra. i ended up reading 11 books last year. the last of which was Hitch-22. i've read three so far this year and they will go on my list. i'd like to shoot for 11 or twelve again, but with the baby coming i'm not sure if it will be harder, or easier, with all that waiting in the dr. offices. how about i go with eight and have a supplemental list bringing the possible total to twelve? sounds good to me and as it's my list what sounds good to me goes.
READING LIST 2011:
01. Anasi Boys - Neail Gaiman
02. The Grand Design - Stephen Hawking
03. The Greatest Show on Earth - Richard Dawkins
04. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - Stieg Larsson
05. The Girl Who Played with Fire - Stieg Larsson
06. The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest - Steig Larsson
07. The Zombie Survival Guide - Max Brooks
08. Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk - David Sedaris
this would "round out" the top eight. on the the supplemental list
09. The Hidden Reality - Brian Green
10. Isaac Newton - James Gleick
11. Irreligion - John Allen Paulos
12. Breaking the Spell - Daniel C. Dennett
and that would be my reading list for 2011. The supplemental list is not set in stone so-to-speak so comments and suggestions will be considered. i do want to get to Last of the Mohicans and Great Expectations soon. i've never read either and feel all the poorer for it. i don't know if i should, but i do.
oh, and the Squid got me a nook color for my birthday last month. it's cool, has a web browser, and you can download any book you purchase to any and all devices you own with a nook app. not an iPad 2 but very cool none the less. (should that have been hyphenated>)
