car problems

Ugh... I'm afraid I'm going to need a new (used) car soon... I have yet to take my car in, but I'm pretty sure the front left CV joint is screwed... makes a scary, thumping noise when I turn. My $800 nissan altima has lasted just about 2 years, though... got 197k on it.
So if anyone hears of any good deals... I prefer cheap, reliable and "foreign"

I find that having a car only encourages travel, which inevitably leads to illness and a loss of funds.
