Well its all done. Last nights recording session finished the songs for the Zen Brothers (thats our name if you didn't know) first album. We did three songs, Quiet Nights which kinda has a bossa nova inspired feel, another one that is a little more riff like, i play electric through the whole thing... it doesn't have a title yet. And the last one is one that i wrote by myself and is just me on acoustic guitar and its called Maggie (one thats very special to me for a number of reasons). We're going in next week to do one more session to clean everything up and master stuff but then its all done.
So now we have 11 songs... its really hard to think that me and my dad wrote all of these. I feel like they're really good songs... its not easy to write just acoustic instrumental songs and make them interesting. Some people just go, "wheres the lyrics" and totally don't get the point of it. So i'm hoping that there will be some people that really dig it besides me and my dad. Now we need to get some photos taken (courtesy of my stepsister jordyn hopefully) and put together some liner notes and we'll start selling them. Hopefully now that its done we can get out and do some gigs cause we haven't done one in at least 2 or 3 months. I'm currently working on putting a myspace together for us but its going slow seeing as i'm kinda lazy and i'm computer retarded... not to mention generally retarded as well. If you read this and your at all interested in hearing any of it, just ask and you shall recieve.
