Weekly Ramblings #51

Hey all!
here we are again. meeting at the same computer screens, if only for a short exchange of words...(wow...how deep, huh?) anyway...yeah, I got the email about the money. another way to send money is through western union, that is what some elders' parents have done...then again, I heard it is a lot more expensive than moneygram. otherwise yeah, you can just send it in a card or something, itll work.
its been a long time since ive seen pictures of the house...some of thems would be cool...*ahem*... :-P hope that continues going alright, as my summer living space will probably be there :-P....not that I assume anything...ever... sad day that the redskins lost, but they will still come back and go all the way one of these upcoming years. I just know it. hay que tener fe no más.
the weather has been real interesting this past week. monday when we were in rosario it apparently hit 111 degrees, you could deffinately feel it. on the flip side, on tuesday we got the biggest rain storm that San Nicolas had had since LAST summer (which, ironically, I was here for THOSE storms, too...). I was on devisions with one of our zone leaders on wednesday and we had to come in at 1100ish (instead of 100ish) because we were 110% drenched. in the end we stopped trying to avoid the completely flooded streets and just tromped through the, at times, 1-2 foot deep water because it didnt make a diference anymore...anyway, it's been stormy off and on since then, which is nice, it is keeping the temperature down in the pench. it has gotten to the 70s a couple times in the pench at night, as opposed to the mid 90s like last week.
the work has taken a slight turn for the better yesterday. halfway through the first hour of church yesterday, someone came in that I didnt quite recognize. it ended up being one of the many non-member sons of a member woman here. apparently he was going to church here a while back, but moved for a while. when he got back recently one of the members went to visit and said he should go to church again, so he did. he would have been the only one in "gospel principles" yesterday, so we just taught him the first lesson, instead. it went pretty good. we're probably gonna review a bit with him on tuesday when we go by. when we asked at the end what his favorite part of the message was he focused on jesus christ and god...which is not a bad thing, so much as he didnt nearly mention anything about joseph smith or the restauration...which is kind of distinct to our message and all, ya know...otherwise, a good guy. that and we've gotten a few other references recently that we're gonna go by. there is still hope here in ramallo :-P
the "others" I refer to in my email, the one I dont want knowing when I get home, knows exactly who she is. its fine because in the emails (im pretty sure) Ive never actually said the exact date im coming home, so she wouldnt know. otherwise, I wouldnt beable to stop her from knowing, as she has direct access to my hotmail account. and yes, you should be well out of sticker circles by the time I actually get back.
well, I cant think of much else to say and we need to get going here soon. we have zone conference this friday, that will be fun, and Ill finally get letters...if I have any...anyway, hope everything is going well for you all up in the US of A and all that jazz. have fun and be safe and such. until next week:

Love,
Elder Casey Adams
