"Iiiiiiiiiiim dreeeeeaaaaaming of a whiiiiiiiiiiite chriiistmaaaaaas, just like the ones I used to know..."

Wow, 13 days til christmas and Im still really hot and sweaty from playing soccer a couple hours ago in what is probably 90 or so degree heat....it's just kind of really wierd.....on the upside, everyone has christmas stuff out now. it seemed to happen all at once, too. one day there was absolutely nothing and the next day everyone and their mom had christmas lights out and lit trees inside their house. Im deffinately plannin on buying some lights and stuff....then again, im kinda tight on money right now, and might not get reimbursed until it would almost be pointless to buy stuff...but we'll figure something out, as this will be my only christmas in the country.
if I told you I remembered those people, Id be lying...was there any really old people in franklin ward when we were there? we get the church news here and in one issue it had the name of someone in franklin ward that turned 100. I had no idea who the person was, but I kept the paper all the same, as it was still cool to see "my ward" in there.
I forget where, but I had seen somewhere that Oakton was at least GOING to states (right, because my hotmail account still gets the oakton information emails, that's where i saw it). but that's totally awesome that they actually won it! yay for my high school. :-P
well, as of this very moment we still have 0 investigators, but at about 700 tonight we hope to have about 4. there is an hermana that lives in the small town of sanchez ("small" meaning Id say less than 1000 people live there) and has a bunch of friends that might wanna hear the gospel, we're gonna go over there after Pday and watch "The Restoration" and hopefully teach the 1st lesson.
other than all that, we are thinking of focusing more on working with less actives for a while and just overall strengthaning the 2 branches. we were with a member yesterday talking...this branch has quite a history, and before we try helping a bunch of people come unto christ through baptism, we should probably make sure that the members that we already have are going to be able to help any newcomers...
dont worry about me on christmas, me and my comp should be well taken care of. here in argentina christmas eve is the "holiday" when everyone does everything big and goes crazy...just like how new years eve is bigger than the actual new years day. well, we have a dinner appointment (and we never have dinner appointments), and we are looking to get permission to stay until all hours of the night. apparently last year president merrill (who was rather strict) let the elders be with members until 1230AM or something for christmas, we're hoping the president (who is a lot less strict) will let us do the same thing. anyway, then, christmas day after church we have lunch with the branch president, and we always eat pretty dang good with them, christmas should be but most excellent.
oh, and yes, the costums people usually leave the paper thingys on the packages, so, if you wrote it, ill know it's in there...but I still havent gotten the rest of the packages, and we wont be getting mail again until probably the 23rd, so it's not so bad.
Well, that's about it for this week. until next time. stay good, have fun, be safe, do good things, and just remember. n-e-s-t-l-e-s, nestle makes the very best. chocolate.

Love,
Elder Casey Adams
