A Stoic Mind And A Bleeding Heart

The wait for this election to conclude is going to be the death of me. I really do hope that voters in the swing states realize that they ought to vote for President Obama who has actually kept the country from out-right economic collapse (and is still trying to create more jobs here in the States, despite the Republican blockage in Congress) and has actually advanced such things as equal pay for women and cutting away the legal trimmings of homophobia within the armed services, instead of Mitt Romney the Mormon businessman who has sent jobs to other countries after destroying jobs here through Bain Capital and can't stick to any particular set of views that his party has outlined for him. Flip-flop, much? And that's not even touching on the fact that the Republican party is now in the hands of extremists that want to eliminate abortion even in cases of rape or incest and that want to eliminate any and all social safety nets (welfare, Medicare, etc) that actually help people who aren't born with silver spoons in their mouths.

I just hope that the general voting public doesn't just vote along the conservative party line, is all I'm saying. I mean, really, those folks are too out of touch with the real world and how it works to be given more power.
