Deanie has encouraged me to post- it's been since September!
It feels like home to be in Olympia, and I've been feeling sad and elated at the thought of leaving here to attend graduate school in May of this year. I wish we could just live in one place for 5 or 10 years! My current plan is to apply to Bastyr University's Master of science in Nutrition with the Registered Dietician track. I've already begun the process, and the deadline for everything is March 15th. Last time I wrote, I think my plan was to apply to Pacific Lutheran University's Master in Nursing program. I changed my mind and am pretty sure Bastyr is the right choice. Last weekend I attended an open house at Bastyr and felt right at home. If I get accepted, we will have to move up to Kenmore, Washington in May so that I can take a biochemistry class over the summer and start the program in the fall. I actually went to high school in the town next to Kenmore, so it is familiar and homelike up there for me as well.
Mark is still traveling most weeks. He's been in Miami for the last three, and will hopefully be home later this week for 10 days or so. We have mostly adjusted to this, but there are hard moments when he arrives and leaves. Cadence misses him. A job opened up at the Thermo factory in Germany, and it is an ideal position for Mark. We are hoping that another job will open up for him after i finish grad school. It would be so great to live in Europe! What an experience!
Cadence turned four in December, and she is growing. Her favorite color is pink, and she seems to be a natural leader...
I've been working on staying in shape, trying to do a little yoga every day and also some kind of workout. I'm in my 2nd quarter of Anatomy and Physiology, and it's been really fascinating. Right now we are on the blood unit.
wish I could post pics, but I don't have a paid account anymore!
