I've been cursed with MS for 13 or 14 years, and ceased to be a working person when my guest house became too much for me to manage and we left it, about ten years ago. My partner left me more than four years ago and, struggling on my own, I came back to my mother's in Saxilby, where I still reside, quite happily.

My health has gradually worsened and, although I'm still on my feet, my mobility is not so good, and I tire quickly. My saving grace has been my wonderful friends and my wonderful band. As long as I can still play an instrument and sing a few songs, I feel fulfilled and enormously grateful. I also know that if the day comes where I can no longer do either, I shall accept it and move on to the next phase of my life. The human spirit never ceases to astound me, and my disease has opened my eyes to things I'd never have given a moment's thought to. I hate to admit it, but I think MS has made me a better person...:))
