"Meme, I think this would be a great diversion from our travels. Who knows when lion taming could come in handy?" Frank explained, trying to persuade her. "You know I've always wanted to join the circus. Have you seen the pants they use?"
Meme sighed and rolled her eyes but smiled as he leaned over to plant a kiss on her cheek. "You know I can never say no to you. Let's head to the Big Top."
"And that's why I love you," Frank replied before happily disembarking from the truck and saying their goodbyes to the Secret Agent. It had been fun working with him but they still were not completely sure of his intentions. In fact, they didn't even know his name.
Hiding behind some large wooden crates stamped with "Handle With Care" on each side, Frank and Meme watched the unloading of the trucks from afar and enjoyed seeing what other acts they would be working with. There were zebras in tutus, monkeys in filigree jackets, hippos in rainboots, and tigers in sparkling collars. However, the lions were the real stars of the show and Frank couldn't wait to start working with them.
"That must be the ringmaster," Meme commented as a short, stout man with a mustache in striped silk pants ran from truck to truck, yelling at the unconcerned workers until his face turned red as beat.
"Look at his pants," Frank replied, licking his lips. "I saw 15 different kinds so far and we haven't even seen the clowns. This is the place to be."
Suddenly, a net dropped over the two animals causing Meme to bleat out in alarm.
"Gotcha, you rascally goat. Time to put you back where you belong," a voice with a thick Scottish accent announced from behind them in triumph, further alarming our two heroes.
Who has captured our favorite sheep and goat? Someone from the circus or someone more menacing? Would the Secret Agent really ever let them go?
