OR what i've learned and re-learned in the last month
1 Never thow someone the keys to your heart and expect them to catch. Make sure you are both on the same page before you throw.
2 Always give your instinct the benefit of the doubt. It was around long before you ever had to be in situations like this and it will be there long after.
3 You can care too much
4 Expecting someone to care for you just because you care for them is pretty naive. This is a habit that must be broken as soon as it is discovered. In some cases it is near fatal.
5 Patterns are funny, just like plaid.
6 People, no matter how nice they seem, are inherently selfish. Kindness is always returned with a kick in the face, thats just the way it is.
7 Forgive BUT never forget. It is not worth the time and effort to hate someone who has wronged you, so you might as well get over it. Just move on and beware in case they try again.
And to the woman that prompted this... I forgive you. I apologize for my attempts to lash out through other people.
