Ring out the old, ring in the new

The year is approaching its finale. I hope you've already decorated everything there is to decorate, prepared the gifts, decided who's on your naughty list...
Basically, it's time we part with 2024 - with all its challenges, changes, highs and lows. I sure hope you'll have fond memories of this year. We'll never see it again, after all.
In terms of LiveJournal, we all can reminisce about 2024 via the new challenge #2024inpictures. It's not just a random activity. We often say that time kinda flies, but obviously it's not true: we simply don't remember most moments as we live through them almost automatically. The more novel stuff we experience, the more vivid memories get created - the slower the passage of time becomes.
And since we usually take photos of the most interesting moments - now we can live through them once again and tell our audiences about them. Your 2024 might have been way more captivating than you remember!
On that note - I wish you a great 2025. Let it be better than its predecessor in every regard. And a happy Christmas! I'll go fetch the gifts and start setting the festive table. Time to bring happiness to the nearest and dearest.
