There's many different types of working people; and you can usually tell how hard and how well they work by their clocking in habits:
-arrive early, clock in late - one of those who can't move their mouth and feet at the same time, and moves their mouth a lot
-arrive early, clock in on time - dependable, tends to get everything done
-arrive early, clock in early - really wants the money, not caring how much they cheat the company for it by not actually doing any work until they're supposed to start 15 minutes later (or they start working right away, in which case they still want the money but they want to help the company, too)
-arrive on time, ready to go - they probably know what they're doing, as they've probably been there awhile since they know exactly when to leave to get there exactly on time
-arrive on time, not ready to go - they're just busy outside of work; not much can be said about how they work
-arrive late - obviously they don't care too much about their job if they're always late
