A Fairly Normal Christmas for the McDonagh Clan
I actually got 2 days off for Christmas! Friday and today. I have really enjoyed not having to do anything.
So Friday I drove to Wheeling to go to Laura's Christmas Party. Got to hang out with her and meet most of her friends from high school, which was about 40-50, which included all of the guys she ate lunch with. It was great getting to see Laura, I hadnt seen her in like 6 months.
Saturday, by the time I got back from Wheeling it was almost time to leave for 6:30 mass. I ended up going just cause i knew i wouldnt make it to midnight. had the usual lasagna dinner at the house after mass. Ron's mom and sister joined us, they just came up for the night.
Christmas was fairly normal. people complaining because we had to wait for mom and dad to get back from their different masses before opening up gifts, it was pushing 12:30 before we got around to it. Chris bitched and complained about everything he got because it wasnt on his list. Cathie, Sarah, John and I went to see The Family Stone, which was funny but surprisingly sad. Then had to wait til like 6ish for our planned 5ish dinner. Then Sarah, Ann, Cathie, Cathie's friend Kim and I went to see Rumor Has It, funny movie.
And today i did absolutely nothing. I decided that i needed out of the house around 3ish. thought about going to see Memoirs of a Giesha but the lines at the theater were RIDICULOUS so i went to walmart and then Target, where I bought Mean Girls and Ocean's 12 cause they were on sale.
that was my christmas. i have to go back to work tomorrow, which sucks. there is a game on Wednesday. Brett's Aussie, Joel, arrives Thursday night!! Joel will be staying with B for a few weeks before he heads to school in Chicago. Game Friday. then Game Sunday. Saturday will be partying with B and Jackie.
