My weekend in Prov!
So this weekend was a freaking blast. I knew I needed it but i didnt realize how much until I actually saw Ben and Em when they picked me up from Logan. all the stress and issues from work and the past few weeks just kindof disappeared. I am still in Prov, waiting for Em to get off work so that we can head to the airport... :(
So Thursday night when i got into Boston, Ben and Em were circling the airport at the wrong terminal, they were at the international terminal. so when they finally got me we caught up and jammed to a cd that Ben made especially for picking me up from the airport, Em called it "Picking Frankie Up From the Airport Mix" which had the prefect number of songs for driving from Logan to Prov. After we got to their apartment, which is totally cute, we went to Mardi Gras to go linedancing. although we didnt actually linedance cause the people out on the floor were all professional about it and we had no clue what was actually going on. we started off the night with a shot of tequilla each and then after watching the linedancing for a bit headed out to the noncountry dancefloor, where this creepy guy danced with Em for like 20 seconds and this other creepy guy danced and hit on me.
Friday we started off the morning with 2 episodes of Queer as Folk, i think season 3. and then got ready and went apple picking with Laura Rogers and Em's friend Tiffany. So much fun. we also made a trip to Target and picked up some stuff for laura's BBQ. After chilling at the apartment for awhile we went to laura's for her BBQ/House Warming party. she has such a cute house right off of benefit and north main. had tons of fun, but apparently we left before real fun started, aka the cops showing up.
Saturday, Em and Ben both had to work so I wondered down Hope Street to go to the bank. well turns out that the one i was walking to on Hope isnt actually open yet to I had to walk to the one over off of thayer st to close out my account. then i bought a "Smart People" sweatshirt, aka Brown. I ran into Yoita while i was waiting for the bus that never showed. I felt kindof bad cause outside of LJ and the people that I was gonna see i didnt mention to anyone else in Prov that I would be here this weekend and she was one of them but thats ok. I was a little surprised to see her too. I thoguht that she was heading back to Cypress already but apparently not yet. so then i went to the bakery where em works for lunch, just after walking oh i would say about 6 miles to and from thayer st. then hung out at their apt until she got off work. after Ben got home we went out to dinner at friday's with Jenny and Katy. so much fun. got all caught up with them.
funny thing though is that katy just got a new car and it is almost the same as me with a few minor differences. mine is an L200 hers L300, I have a moonroof and a spoiler and hers doesnt but they are the same color and year. how funny is that?
this morning i dropped Ben off at work in attleboro and then ran by the marriott to see justin. we chatted for a few minutes before he had to go back to work. the only person i didnt get to see was Ang, cause she had to work last night and i dont think she was there this morning. :( but next time i will.
so now i should probably go and repack my bag, clean my apples and get ready to leave cause Em gets off work at 1 and we will have to head out shortly after she gets home. and then i will be back in Dayton around 8:30 and uncertain as to when i can make it back to Prov which is kindof sad. granted that i am not a huge fan of Prov or NE winters, when the weathers nice it really is a gorgous city and I realized just how much i miss the people here, especially my roomies from Carrington.
