DS9 s01e12: Vortex, or how I feel about this series so far.
This episode wasn't much about him, but I have to say that so far, Quark has been the most interesting character on the show. Armin Shimerman plays him so well, and I guess the lazy/underdirected writing staff has been latching onto his shining personality to give life to the show. s01e11, The Nagus, was probably the most fun episode so far.
s01e10 was a really bad episode in a string. I can't believe they didn't cancel the series right away. s01e07 - Q-Less!! If there's a McGuffin worse than time-travel, it's the omnipotent being, and in this case it seems it was just an excuse to bring back Vash, but what is she in this franchise without Picard?
Bashir hasn't had much screen time so far, but man is he annoying.
I have sometimes taken to watch at 1.2x speed since much of the dialogue is so boring.
I don't think I ever recall seeing a single of these episodes ever before (except the pilot? looked familiar), so I guess it's good I originally started later in the series. :)
